Connecting Your Ad Accounts to HubSpot
HubSpot's Ads tool lets you connect multiple ad platforms so you can manage campaigns, track contact interactions, and measure ROI without switching between tools. Once connected, HubSpot will display and report on all existing ad campaigns in each connected account.
Before connecting any account, make sure:
- You have Publish access to the HubSpot Ads tool.
- Your ad blocker is disabled in your browser.
- The ad account is active (suspended or cancelled accounts cannot be connected).
Google Ads
Requirements
- The connecting user must have Admin access in Google Ads (check via Tools > Access).
- Smart Campaigns are not supported. If your account is in Smart Mode (URL begins with
ads.google.com/aw/express), switch first: click Tools > Switch to Expert Mode.
Connect Your Account
- In HubSpot, click the Settings icon in the top navigation bar.
- Go to Marketing > Ads.
- On the Accounts tab, click Connect account.
- Select Google Ads.
- Log in with your Google account and click Allow.
- Select the accounts you want to connect and click Connect.
- If creating a new account, fill in your account name, email, time zone, and currency (currency cannot be changed later), then click Create account.
- Add billing information in Google Ads, then return to HubSpot and click I've added billing information.
Manage Your Account
Go to Settings > Marketing > Ads, hover over an account, and click Actions to view details,
Meta (Facebook) Ads
Requirements
- The connecting user must be an Admin in Facebook Business Manager for that ad account — confirm Manage Ad Account is toggled on under Business Manager > Ad Accounts.
- The ad account must be active.
Connect Your Account
- In HubSpot, click the Settings icon in the top navigation bar.
- Go to Marketing > Ads.
- Click Connect account and select Facebook.
- Log in to Facebook and click Continue after reviewing permissions.
- Select the Facebook ad accounts you want to connect.
- Leave Auto tracking toggled on to track contacts that interact with your ads.
- Click Connect.
Manage Your Account
Go to Settings > Marketing > Ads, hover over an account, and click Actions to view details, connect a Facebook user, manage access, move to another brand, or disconnect.
LinkedIn Ads
Requirements
- The connecting user must be an Account Manager in LinkedIn Campaign Manager — verify under Account settings > Manage access.
- Accounts on hold cannot be connected.
- HubSpot only reports on the most recent year of LinkedIn Ads data (LinkedIn requirement).
Connect Your Account
- In HubSpot, click the Settings icon in the top navigation bar.
- Go to Marketing > Ads.
- Click Connect account and select LinkedIn.
- Log in to LinkedIn, review permissions, and click Allow.
- Select the LinkedIn Ads accounts to connect. Leave Auto tracking on.
- Click Connect.
- Select the accounts to sync leads from, then click Save.
Manage Your Account
Go to Settings > Marketing > Ads, hover over an account, and click Actions to view details, connect a LinkedIn user, manage access, move to another brand, or disconnect.
If LinkedIn app permissions for HubSpot are removed or changed, the Ads tool may stop working and you'll need to reconnect.
TikTok Ads (Beta)
Requirements
- You must have Account Access permissions in HubSpot.
- You must have an active TikTok For Business account.
Connect Your Account
First time using the HubSpot Ads tool:
- In HubSpot, go to Marketing > Ads.
- Click Get started with ads, then click the TikTok icon and follow the authentication flow.
If you already have other ad accounts connected:
- In HubSpot, click the Settings icon in the top navigation bar.
- Go to Marketing > Ads and click Connect account.
- Click the TikTok icon and follow the authentication flow.
- Select the TikTok ad accounts to connect (or click Create ad account for a new one).
- Toggle Auto tracking on for each account.
- Click Connect accounts.
Reporting & Attribution
With auto-tracking enabled, HubSpot appends UTM parameters to your ad URLs and tracks which contacts interacted with your ads — showing you which videos are driving sales and ROI. View results under the Manage and Analyze tabs in Marketing > Ads.
Create Audiences
- Go to Marketing > Ads > Create > Audience.
- Select Contact segment (retarget existing contacts) or Lookalike (reach new people similar to your best customers).
- Configure the settings and click Save.
Add Pixels
- Go to Settings > Marketing > Ads > Pixels tab.
- Click Add pixel, select TikTok, choose your ad accounts, and click Add pixel.
